Adding to the already impressive list of features of their 1021 Disc Player, Boulder has added the ability to stream music over your home network via a free upgrade.

The UPnP Network Upgrade software will allow the 1021 to access media files via iTunes or WMP on your home computer/NAS Server. It will then act as a DAC for files up to 32-bit/192 kHz.

Upgrade kits are being sent to Boulder dealers now, and while Boulder isn't charging for the upgrade, you will have to contact your local dealer to have them install it.

New units from March 15th on will have the upgrade installed at the factory.
