Power(d Towers)

DW Collection has unveiled the Art.Studio, which builds on their successful Art.Engine single tower speaker. The Art.Studio is a pair of 49-inch-high, 3-way powered towers.

Sporting 6 Class D amps for a total of 325 watts per tower, the Art.Studio's certainly have some kick. The outside is made from aircraft-grade 6061 T6 billet aluminum.

The tweeter is a 1-inch damped soft dome with 25 watts of power behind it. This crosses over at 2kHz to two 3.5-inch midrange drivers with 50 watts behind them. These in turn cross over at 200 Hz to eight 3.5-inch woofers that have 250 watts (into 2 ohms) of amplifier power driving them.

The master tower has two pairs of stereo RCA inputs. Optional is the DWC Wireless Technology, which allows you to transmit iPod, computer, or other digital source wirelessly to the Art.Studios.

DWC plans on producing 150 pairs of the Art.Studio this year in either floor standing or wall mount forms.
