Twenty-five years in the making
The new Consequence Ultimate Edition from Dynaudio is what the company calls "one of the most fascinating models in the history of high-end loudspeakers".
Exclusively featuring the latest Dynaudio transducer technology, select real-wood finishes and precious gold or chrome plated solid driver rings, the Consequence is certainly a statement.
And that's not all it has to offer.
The Consequence boasts a frequency range from 17 Hz to 30 kHz +/- 3 dB.
It features a five-way design using drives specially crafted for the new model, including a unique inverted drive arrangement.
This latter feature the company claims achieves correct acoustical timing and coherence at the listening position.
Sensitivity at 1 meter and 2.83 volts is a claimed 85 dB.
Each tower tips the scales at 251 pounds.
Dynaudio claims that the secret of the deep-bass performance is The Compound Bass System hidden within the interior of the cabinet; here, a second internal woofer not visible from the outside is installed "compound loading" the external woofer.
The Consequence Ultimate Edition will be available this fall in a real-wood Wengé veneer with chrome accents or a real-wood Rosewood veneer with gold accents.
