Showcase Showdown
Who says a flat-panel TV can’t be the centerpiece of a proper home theater?
Halden-Caviglia’s new flat panel showcases add oodles of theatrical flair to any LCD or plasma display between 42 and 65 inches, whether you’re looking for an art deco aesthetic, the classic styling of old studio cinemas, or a completely modern facade.
Borne, as most great designs are, out of necessity, the concept was developed as an alternative to large and expensive custom cabinetry when Halden-Caviglia co-founder Rick Caviglia’s wife balked at the idea of putting a flat-panel TV in their newly redesigned living room.
Far from merely just a pretty frame, each showcase features active and passive ventilation to ensure your TV never gets too toasty, an IR repeater to ensure that nothing interferes with your remote control signal and an integrated audio system with external amplification and stereo speakers.
