The high-end Norwegian audio company Hegel has entered the US market with a whole line of products, including this beefy amp, the H4A mk2.

The Hegel H4A mk2 is user-friendly, powerful and capable, according to the company. The H4A mk2 power amp boasts 300 watts into 8 ohms for its two channels. Into 2 ohms, it puts out an impressive 1000 watts.

Each channel is divided into separate voltage gain and current gain stages.  The amp’s signal to noise ratio is more than 100 decibels. The frequency response is +/- 0.2 decibels and deviation of 20 hertz to 20 kilohertz, all according to Hegel.

Speaker outputs on the H4A have two pairs of gold-plated terminals for both channels. Using patented technology in the amplification stages, the H4A is a dual-mono construction.
