Classics revisited… but for a limited time only.
To celebrate their 60th Anniversary, McIntosh Laboratory’s offers up the appropriately named Special Edition 60th Anniversary System which includes two MC75 monoblock tube amplifiers and a C22 Preamplifier.
There will only be 60 of this extremely limited-edition system sold per country.
More after the jump…
The Special Edition 60th Anniversary System, brings together two revamped components; the MC75 (from 1961) and the C22 (from 1962).
The upgraded MC75 stereo amp develops 75-watt-per-channel into 2, 4 or 8 ohms. It offers circuitry updates that improve reliability and enhance sonic performance. Included in the updates is a custom application of the patented Sentry Monitor short circuit protection. There are balanced inputs and outputs. The stainless steel chassis has a triple-polished gold titanium finish.
The new version of the C22 recreates the look and feel of the original while adding a number of circuit enhancements. It marries the classic backlit glass and brushed anodized aluminum front panel but with new preamp specifications like balanced inputs and outputs and an IR remote(!). All signal switching in the C22 is done with electromagnetic switches driven by Digital Logic.
Included with the purchase of this package is the book For the Love of Music, autographed by the author Ken Kessler, McIntosh co-founder, Sidney Corderman and president Charlie Randall. The book chronicles the company’s legacy.
