TV Rain or Shine

Runco has announced two new outdoor LCDs, the CP-42HD and the CP-52HD. As the numbers suggest, they're 42 and 52-inch models.

Both have 1080p resolution and have "reflection-rejection" glass for easier outdoor viewing. The sealed aluminum cabinets surpass the IEC's Ingress Protection IP56 weatherproof standards.

Each has a specially designed internal ventilation system to cool the panels. Runco's ThermoCare will run the cooling system whether or not the TV is on, to make sure the panel and electronics don't get too hot in the summer. On the other end of the temperature range, there's a setting to allow operation when the weather gets cold, all the way down to 32-degrees F.

The satin finished cabinet is also available in Runco's ColourPalette custom finish options.

Both models will be available this month only at Runco dealers.
