This CEDIA is turning out to be a good one for cool remote controls. I just got back from taking Universal Remote Control's new MX-5000 for a test drive. My love for the company's MX-6000 is no secret, so I was happy to see that the MX-5000 is virtually the same remote under the hood (including all of the wifi and RF functionality), but with a sharp new wand form that's designed to be comfortably held in one hand -- even great big Wookiee paws like mine.
Surprisingly, the 2.8-inch LCD touchscreen isn't cramped at all, and I loved the tactile vibration, which provides welcome feedback for virtual button presses.
MSRP of the MX-5000, which is shipping now, is $1,199.95

I want 6 of them. Where do I sign up???
Absolutely a fantastic remote and one of our best sellers. We have been getting many programming requests for this remote as well as the MX-6000. The thing that sets this remote apart is the way it feels in your hand. There is no other remote on the market that offers a more cofortable and reassuring feeling as you control your system, check the weather and your stocks. URC really did a good job on this.
