Sim2 Garners 2D-3D Projection System Honors at CES

Known for its high performance projection systems, Italian manufacturer Sim2 has been designated as an Honoree in the Video Displays category at the recently held Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Nevada. The entrants were judged by a panel of independent industrial designers, engineers and members of the specialist media. The panel honors outstanding design and engineering in cutting-edge consumer electronics products.

The Grand CinemaTM C3X LUMIS 3Di dual-projection system is designed to recreate 3D images in the home, with the same depth and intensity as those experienced in the cinema. This is accomplished by the application of two C3X LUMIS three-chip Full HD DLP projectors, delivering up to 6,000 lumens to a standard screen. Each projector is outfitted with an internal motorized 3D filter - the system is configurable via a single button push for 2D or 3D images at Full HD resolution (1080p).

Grand CinemaTM C3X LUMIS - winner of a 2010 Innovations Award - is used as the basis of the C3X LUMIS 3D system, and is one of the products chosen by Francis Ford Coppola for his home and studios. Coppola - a five-time Academy Award-winning film director, has endorsed SIM2 projectors since early 2010.
