Green up your Crestron

Say you've got your Creston hooked up to all the lighting in your house. Say it's also tied in to the HVAC, curtains, or any combination of these. Then Agilewaves Resource Monitor will make such sense to you, you'll be surprised you didn't think of it first.

The Resource Monitor does exactly what its name implies. It tracks your household energy consumption, per room, and then allows you to set limits to how much energy is consumed. You can also see what rooms cost what and when, allowing you to fine tune your energy consumption, and see real time changes.

So you can also set it to automatically dim the lights slightly when a preset power limit is approaching, or raise (or lower) the temperature a few degrees.

The idea is to save you money, and in turn reduce your so-called carbon footprint.

Agilewaves' research has found that just giving people detailed information about their energy consumption, it leads to a 10-15% reduction in consumption, and often over 20%.

Regardless of the size of your house, that could be a lot of money saved over the course of a year.
