A little bass on the horizon.
Boston Acoustics has added a new model to its line of iPod speaker systems. The flagship Horizon i-DS3 is the first two-piece model in the group, combining a stereo soundbar with a wireless subwoofer.

The stereo soundbar sports two 3.5-inch woofers and two 0.5-inch tweeters in a compact cabinet. The top-panel dock accepts both iPod and iPhone models and will charge them while docked.
The soundbar also has S-video and composite video outputs to display photos or video on a connected TV, as well as an auxiliary input to add a separate music player.
The ported, down-firing subwoofer has a 6-inch woofer and communicates wirelessly with the soundbar over the 2.4-GHz band. The system has a total of 100 watts of amplification.
A tiny IR remote is included. The i-DS3 is available in either gloss black or gloss white, with a matching perforated metal grille on the soundbar. You can customize the grille in a variety of colors, if you desire.
The Horizon i-DS3 is scheduled for release in March.
