Loiminchay Audio Chagall floorstanding speakers

Hand-crafted, limited-edition, high-end speakers… from China?

Pictures barely do the design of these speakers justice. Built from layers of Birch MultiPly laminate to form a look that is certainly unique in the speaker world.

Designed by owner Patrick Chu the Chagalls are built in his own workshop in China.

The top portion, available separately as the Degas, is available with either a 1.2-inch ceramic tweeter that Loiminchay claims will go up to 28 kHz or a diamond tweeter that they claim extends up to 40 kHz. Dogs and birds be warned. The interior is stuffed with lambs wool.

The woofer is ceramic and 6.8-inches.

The bass module shares the same 1.2-inch thick cabinet design and build as the Degas, and sports a 6.8-inch woofer. The base is a 1-inch thick piece of concrete (you read that right) wrapped in leather. Response goes down to a claimed 28 Hz.

Sensitivity is a claimed 89 dB at two meters. At 150 pounds, I'd recommend you hire someone to move them around.
