Italian custom loudspeaker designers NACSound and Sonance have come out with the Kayak, a stunning single speaker that produces stereo sound.

Hung from the ceiling, and attached to the floor in sort of speleothem column, the Kayak looks like no other speaker. If vertical isn't your thing, you can suspend it horizontally or diagonally as well.

Each aluminum cone end of the Kayak houses a coaxial driver array of a 1.1-inch silk tweeter and a 5.7-inch woofer. These fire at each other, towards the center reflector.

Sensitivity is rated at 86 dB with an impedance of 8 ohms.

And if drilling into your ceiling or floor isn't your thing, there are wall mounts that hang it out slightly from the wall, and a stand that looks not quite unlike an English longbow.

The NACSound for Sonance Kayak is available now in 14 different finishes for an MSRP of $8,700.
