Big LCDs and in-wall RPTVs

How about a 70-inch LCD? Runco’s new CX-70DHD sports 1080p, of course, and comes with an external scaler/input box (Runco’s own DHD).

Of even bigger news was Runco’s new OPAL technology found on certain LCDs.

OPAL, Runco claims, increases contrast ratio, reduces reflections in ambient light, and creates a hard coating that helps prevent damage to the LCD surface. For now it is found on two models, the CX-OPAL47 shipping in January, and the outdoor model, the WP-42OPALHD, available now.

Also new was a rear projection getup that uses a Runco projector and comes with the mirror and supports to install into a wall. It’s only 33-inches deep and will sell for $39,995.
