9.9 mm Thick (0.39-inches for those metrically declined)

The Sony KLV-40ZX1M is a truly stunning piece. It’s so thin, I bet you’ll have trouble making it out in this excellent photo I took.

As you can guess from the model number, it’s 40-inches diagonal. It’s also 1080p, has a 10-bit panel and processor, 120Hz refresh and an LED backlight.

It also has a whopping one HDMI input. Yep, one.

It was displaying still (or nearly still) images on the show floor, so while it looks pretty decent, we’ll have to reserve judgment till we see it with some real content, preferably in our own lab.

No word on pricing, but it will ship in December.
