Pioneer fully embraces 2.0 spec.
This summer, Pioneer will add three new Blu-ray players to its lineup. Two are Pioneer-branded (BDP-120 and BDP-320), one is an Elite model (BDP-23FD), and all three are Profile 2.0, allowing access to BD-Live Web features.

Not surprisingly, the new players will support 1080p/24 video output and bitstream output of Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. All three also contain internal Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio decoding, but only the BDP-320 and Elite BDP-23FD offer 7.1-channel analog audio outputs. The Elite model goes a step further by incorporating professional-grade DACs and PQLS anti-jitter technology for improved audio performance.
Compared with the entry-level BDP-120, the step-up BDP-320 adds 48-bit Deep Color support, a complete picture control suite with 13 video adjustments, and advanced noise-reduction circuitry. Aimed at the custom market, the Elite model adds RS-232.
Both the BDP-320 and BDP-23FD feature the new KURO Link Picture Mode. Connect the player to a Pioneer KURO panel, and the TV will activate a special A/V mode designed to optimize video reproduction and deliver a perfectly synced image.
As Profile 2.0 players, all three models have the needed Ethernet port, as well as a USB port. The entry-level BDP-120 will come packaged with a 1GB flash drive, while the BDP-320 and Elite BDP-23FD contain 1GB of onboard memory for storage of BD-Live content.
