RBH embellishes its signature.
RBH Sound is showing off two new additions to its acclaimed Signature Series speaker lineup, the 8300-SE and reference 8300-SE/R.
On the surface, the two models are quite similar. Both are floorstanding designs that weigh 115 pounds apiece, can handle up to 400 watts, and feature three 8-inch aluminum cone subwoofers, two 6.5-inch aluminum cone woofers, and a 1-inch dome tweeter.
The reference model is distinguished by its upgraded 6.5-inch fixed phase plug aluminum cone woofers and liquid-cooled Scanspeak silk dome tweeter, as well as a modified crossover network to manage the upgraded drivers.
The speaker’s acoustic suspension design includes a dimpled front-firing flared port that RBH says works in conjunction with the three woofers to allow a frequency response down to 22 hertz.
The speaker cabinet is constructed of 0.75-inch MDF and internally braced to eliminate standing waves and cabinet resonance. You can choose from 30 different custom woodgrain veneers; the 8300-SE/R is shown here in the Macassar Ebony veneer.
Look for these behemoth beauties in April.
