Anthem has released the BLX 200, a Blu-ray player capable of performing in full HD 1080p. The player comes with 1 GB of built-in memory, as well as a 2 GB USB Flash Drive for access to internet-based programs such as BD-Live (Profile 2.0).
The BLX 200 also features 24p—full compatibility with 24 movie frames per second. The player is able to perform backwards compatibility, meaning that it can still play those DVDs that you collected over the years. DVDs can be upscaled to 1080p through HDMI to improve picture quality.
Additional features include: 12-bit/162-MHz video DACs (digital to analog converters); external IR remote ‘IN’ port, which allows integration to home theater control systems; and a front-panel USB port for future firmware updates.
Anthem’s BLX 200 runs at a suggested retail price of $799, and is now shipping. AnthemAV.com
